Chanel's Flashlight Shoes and A Pretty DIY Alternative

Pumps with flashlights embedded in the toe tips were a surprise element at the Chanel Couture Fall 2001 Show in July. Cool and kind of industrial in style as contrasted to the more frilly floral fashions shown. But clearly in line the with the dramatic linear lighting of the almost Tron influenced the runway setting.




Whether the flashlight shoes will actually be available or were just a prop...
...a more attainable option might be trying to make these ruffled LED clips on your own.

When Captain America Throws His Cardboard Shield - DIY Cap Craft

Find out how to make a pretty convincing, fun, flying Cap Shield out of cardboard
and duct tape (of course) at Instructables.


The maker (seamster) wanted to create a finished shield that "could be tossed around safely and 
actually fly stable like a giant Frisbee" and even includes a video of the Shield in action.
