Edgy Cool Fashions from "Maleficent" Inspired Hot Topic Line

It's great to see more "inspired by" fashion looks - and not just the standard array of
printed tees and leggings in a movie tie-in line.

And the stylized wireframe Horn Headband and Horn Ring accessories are just wicked cool.

Burtonesque Catwoman Stalked The Blonds Fall 2014 Catwalk

The Blonds Fall 2014 collection @ NY Fashion Week was inspired by Catwoman, Gotham, and Kitties in general. Above are some of the coolest looks - the Gotham Skyline Suit is my fave.
And while the major influence was clearly the Burton/Pfieffer Cats - if you check out the Runway Show
some of the pieces seem to veer a bit into Schumacher territory.

Psychadelic Sophisticate - Hello Kitty Holiday @Forever 21

Groovy video and lush Look Book images for today's launch of Forever 21's Holiday 2012

The Evil Look For Less - Disney Fall Beauty - Part 2

Another new Disney Fairy Tale inspired Make-Up Collection lines available this Fall.

And  for those who identify with the Dark Side of Disney - the glamorous Villains,
Walgreens is featuring 3 limited edition pallets from Elf and faux nails from ImPress.
Inspired by the Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Cruella.

Eye looks based on these characters are super popular now and show up on both beauty and pop culture blogs daily. MAC actually had a Disney Villains Collection several seasons ago, and there are currently some beauty items @The Disney Store that tie-in with the new Villains Fashion Doll line.
But the great thing about the Elf pallets is the the $9.99 price point - that's Villainy on a budget!

And the companion ImPress nails also have some fun FX looks as well as vampy basics.

Part 1 - Sephora's Cinderella Collection here.

Jane Eyre Meets The Hunger Games - Smythe Fall Jacket Ads

Style videos for the Smythe Fall 2012 Jacket Collection are fierce and enigmatic with a Neo-Victorian edge.
A really cool campaign, with a highly cinematic feel that hints at a larger story.

If Look Books Could Kill - Phillip Lim's KILL THE NIGHT

A Fashion Comic for NYC Fall Fashion Week 2012

This is quintessential Fashion and Action - I love it when Fashion and Comics Team-Up - and this
showcases a particularly dynamic trio. Designer Phillip Lim enlisted writer/artist duo John Ostrander
and Jan Duursema (probably my favorite team from the Dark Horse Star Wars Comics) to a create a
Neo-Noir Comic Look Book featuring his Fall 2012 Collection which was inspired by edgy modern
classic titles like V for Vendetta and Sin City. You can sign up for a free copy @ 3.1phiiliplim.com.
The comic will also be the Designer's freebee at tonight's Fashion's Night Out event kicking off
NYC Fashion Week. More details on the project @ Style.com. Above you can enjoy some
preview pages - while some blown up panels and B&W art a featured below via Lim's Pinterest.

Just fantastic! Reminds me so much of  Eclipse Comics' Fashion In Action - the inspiration for this blog!
