Spock vs Spock Ad for Audi is Nerd-tastic & Kinda Charming Too
So clever. This should be a TV series - they're like a new geek-age version of the Odd Couple.

Escape To Reality - TOYOTA GT86: The Real Deal Ad
From TRON to A-ha's "Take On Me" music video - I'm always been a fan of the "breaking through
worlds" theme - and this ad for the Toyota GT8 is a cool update to that idea, rendered in the ultra
realistic CGI style of modern video games. Via Super Punch

Still in Love With The Red Skull's Car (Schmidt Hydra Coupé)
Ace Vehicle Designer Daniel Simon just released a gorgeous little showcase clip for my favorite
movie car of all time - The Schmidt Hydra Coupé from Captain America: The First Avenger.
This time he's rendered his creation (and my obsession) in shiny villainous Red Skull red.
The clip showcases interior and exterior details - all set to Alan Silvestri's dramatic score.
As well as some addition concept art that was part of the Marvel Auction earlier this year

In addition to the portfolio site and blog I linked to above Daniel Simon also shares his work on Facebook
@Daniel Simon and @Cosmic Motors. He's a must follow if you dig concept vehicles as much as I do.
He also shares a lot of his work from Tron Legacy & Tron Uprising as well, and I'm really
looking forward to catching a glimpse of his current work on Oblivion

A Nice Convertible Is No Substitute for A Flying Car
The clever concept of this Total Recall tie-in ad is completely undermined by featuring the
decidedly un-futuristic and conventional looking Chrysler 200 Convertible.

Toyota Fun Vii Concept Car - Predicts A Rave-tacular Future
Welcome to the Future! - It's like a happy Tron meets Blade Runner world, where you can update Facebook on your car side panels. But by the end it all starts to feel oddly more like Logan's Run.
Do you see any old people? Nope - just young awe dazed hipsters and "smart" cars in the big Carousel-like arena at the end. Renew! Renew! Renew!

Costumes, Cars, and Props - NYCC 2011 - My Photos
A week and a half later - and here's my New York Comic-Com Photo Gallery. I've learned I need a better camera and to be much quicker on the draw if I want to spend less time cropping a small batch of meh photos. Most of my Cosplay shots were a fail - but I did get American Maid tossing her shoe and my husband posing with a really nice Captain America. And apparently I'm more obsessed with vehicles than I realized, as I ended up with a lot of car photos.
