New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Character Posters & Trailer

While I appreciate the attempt to make the characters more individual beyond mask color - it's still hard
getting past the kinda creepy facial designs. Certainly no shortage of action in the trailer though!

Would You Know This Guy is Lobo If Someone Didn't Tell You?

While this is a very attractive alien dude - there is scarcely a trace of the Main Man left here.
It's a baffling re-design choice that removes everything that made the character unique and
instantly identifiable - seemingly for the sake of fitting him into the often generic visual style of the New 52.

DC also shared 3 other designs they considered.
So it could of been worse...

...with a design that looks like an attempt to appeal to Loki fans...

...or better - with either of these more Khal Drogo-esque barbarian inspired takes.
Which would have been fine...

...I actually kinda like this last one.

Here's the synopsis for the reveal in September's Justice League #23.2: Lobo -
"The Lobo you’ve seen so far in the New 52 is not who you think he is. In this one-shot, you’ll be
introduced to the real Lobo. A ruthless killer, Lobo is on a quest to kill the man who has taken his name."

As Star Wars fiction fan I've got to tell you - that sounds an awful lot like
the old Expanded Universe Tale of Boba Fett and Jodo Kast.

The Gorn Gets a Major Makeover in the New Star Trek Game.

While the classic Gorn has his Retro charm - I guess he had to get a sleeker update to appear in the
JJ Abrams Star Trek-verse Game. I do like the individuality of the various dinosaur inspired lizard men,
it's cool look for game enemies, but I'm not sure they'd work in a movie.

Plus it probably wise at this point to move the Gorn's look further away from his Star Wars cousin - Bossk.
