Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - H&M Fashion Collection

Fashionable but edgy 30 piece Capsule Collection is created by the Films Costume Designer Trish Summerville. It will be available in select stores and online in December. Some details from the Telegraph
"Battered jeans, cropped leather jackets and hoodies make up the uniform of the private detective, who is played by breakout American actress Rooney Mara.
"We took her [Salander's] basic pieces that we used throughout the film and did a little more fashionable version for H&M," explains Summerville, who scoured resale shops in Sweden - where the film is set - for much of the character's wardrobe.
Accessories including knitted snoods, backpacks and tribal earrings also feature alongside roughed-up leather boots and platform wedges."

Meanwhile: Rooney Mara Covers the November issue of Vogue, with a fashion layout that's not
all black - yet still a bit Goth with some dreamy Ophelia inspired photos.

Captain America's Movie Costumes - DVD Extras Preview & Avengers Costume @ NYCC

To mark the release of Captain America: The First Avenger on DVD/Blu-Ray today, here are some previews of behind the scenes featurettes that focus on the way they were able to manage working in multiple costumes that referenced Cap's classic comic look, as well the more practical versions. It's the design details like this, that pay homage to the characters history, that really make me love this movie.

The new modern Captain America costume was first revealed on display at SDCC in July and has featured prominently in the Avengers trailer and promo stills. So I was pretty psyched to see that Captain Steve Rogers' S.H.E.I.L.D locker was also on display at New York Comic-Con. And here's what I thought was the coolest - the costume was not the pristine costume seen at San Diego. Instead - it was very appropriately the dirty battle damaged version that was featured in all the New York Battle raw set footage we've seen.
