'Toy Story That Time Forgot' SDCC Poster by Mike Mignola

Epic poster by Mike Mignola for SDCC promoting the new Toy Story Holiday Special
entitled 'Toy Story That Time Forgot' coming this fall to ABC TV.
I'm sure the special will be fun - but I'd watch an animated series that looked like this Mignola poster right now!

Fantastic custom action figures and photos by Andrew Italasano

Boba Fett made his debut 35 years ago today - riding a dinosaur (technically some kind of
space Plesiosaur) - in the still very groovy animated segment of the notorious Star Wars Holiday Special.

Groovy Pulp 'Savage Wolverine' Comic Covers by Frank Cho

Here are the un-blurbified Frank Cho covers for his 5 issue debut arc of Savage Wolverine.
They have a cool updated 60's Mod spy/adventure novel cover vibe - kinda like James Bond meets Tarzan.
The arc was a lot of fun as well - teaming Logan with Shanna the She-Devil on a mysterious adventure that payed fitting tribute to the Pulpy, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jules Verne-esque roots of Marvel's Savage Land.

Cho's interior panel work on the arc also featured some terrific examples of visually storytelling...often with dinosaurs!

The Gorn Gets a Major Makeover in the New Star Trek Game.

While the classic Gorn has his Retro charm - I guess he had to get a sleeker update to appear in the
JJ Abrams Star Trek-verse Game. I do like the individuality of the various dinosaur inspired lizard men,
it's cool look for game enemies, but I'm not sure they'd work in a movie.

Plus it probably wise at this point to move the Gorn's look further away from his Star Wars cousin - Bossk.

Dino Avengers from David Resto's Superhero Dinosaurs Series.
A bunch of  X-Men and other Marvel Heroes complete the series over on Flickr.
And it looks like prints are still available here.

Dinosaur Avengers Volume 1 - Mash-Up Art by Terry Whitlatch

Earth Mightiest Heroes re-imagined as Dinosaurs in marvelous mash-up art by Concept Artist Terry Whitlatch, well known for developing creature designs for feature films like the Star Wars Prequels. And here are some additional thumbnails sketches and an updated Hulkasaurus - complete with alter ego Bruce Banner.
