space Plesiosaur) - in the still very groovy animated segment of the notorious Star Wars Holiday Special.

"Minutemen" #1 - Before Watchmen Five Page Preview

Watchmen Wednesday

 The first of DC's Before Watchmen Prequel Series Comics debuts today.

These are the first five pages of Minutemen Issue #1 by Darwyn Cooke via USA Today, which
also has good review of the controversy sparked by the project.
This book looks like great start - but only time will tell.

Boba Fett's First Appearance - Star Wars Holiday Special - November 17, 1978

Nov 17th also marks the debut of mysterious Bounty Hunter Boba Fett - in animated form and
riding a dinosaur no less. The only part of the Holiday Special actually remembered fondly by fans.
(It's also now included as an Easter Egg on the Blu-Rays)

I remember loving the funky exaggerated Heavy Metal style of the animation...
...it really stuck with me and I still find it cool.
