Alternate Universe Cinema - ‘The Hunger Games’ - Kevin Tancharoen's Directoral Pitch Reel

It's always fascinating to look under the hood of the filmmaking process and see what might have been.
This is Director Kevin Tancharoen’s concept trailer/pitch reel which reveals a much less
restrained and overtly Sci-Fi take on The Hunger Games. Via /Film

The Retro 70's Badass Daredevil Film That Might Have Been

This difference in the "not for kids version" - it incorporates a some more overtly graphically
violent clips as well shots of the Ben Affleck's Daredevil.

Director Joe Carnahan's Retro-tastic film treatment concept pitch reels for his 1970's style take on
Daredevil: Born Again. Unfortunately due to the complicated status of Marvel's movie rights it looks unlikely this will not see further development. Although, I do suspect Carnahan's sharing the clips and subsequent overwhelmingly positive fan reaction may be a viral pitch to keep it alive when rights revert to Marvel.
/Film has a nice concise explanation of the Fox/Marvel rights situation.

Behind The Scenes of The Avengers - B-Roll Clips & Photos

The Making of The Avengers - Behind The Scenes Footage & Photos

TheIrishAvengerCBM has kindly edited all the official B-Roll footage clips into one nice convenient single reel. Originally made available as promo clips before the film's release - but I think it's more interesting (and less spoilery) to watch them after. They feature tons of cool filmmaking stuff like fight choreography, stunt & green screen work, actor blocking, fussing with costumes & make-up as well as the cast and crew in great candid casual moments. I've also "assembled" gallery of  behind the scenes photos bellow.

The Wolverine - or Who Will Be the Next Marvel Mutant Director Star?

Variety has reported Fox is looking at 8 potential directors for The Wolverine the X-Men Origins sequel -- which Darren Aronofsky opted out of due to issues over control of the project. Under consideration are Jose Padilha (Elite Squad, upcoming Robocop remake), Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith), Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Shooter), Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo, Never Let Me Go),
Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Fast Five), Gavin O’Connor (Pride and Glory, upcoming Warrior)
James Mangold (3:10 To Yuma, Knight and Day) and last but the most interesting Gary Shore
a Commercial Director and the creator of this awesome Wolverine vs. The Hand fan trailer.
