  1. Thank you for writing this piece on the Nautilus project, it's great to see all the excitement we've generated! Unfortunately, the folks responsible for this project's vision and funding are not attributed.

Christopher Bently and Amber Marie Bently, the founders of Bently Holdings in San Francisco, were the driving force behind this project, as well as the means by which it became a reality. The couple, both long time burners and huge supporters of the Black Rock Arts Foundation community, had wanted to make their Nautilus a reality for years. I know the Bently's appreciate everyone involved, and are looking forward to making more projects like this happen in the future.

  2. I think the Nautilus car should appear in a steampunk or science fiction movie. I can imagine this art car in the movie Golden Compass, where Daniel Craig may use it as his vehicle, or maybe they can put it in a remake of A ClockWork Orange. :-) I'm amazed how this was done, especially its mechanical door. And the creator is even dressed in steampunk clothing!

  3. This is an awesome car! It is a reflection of ingenuity and creativity. And yeah, Earnest, the door is pretty nifty. It must have been difficult fitting a door like that onto the side of the vehicle. Now that’s a car any steampunk would love to drive! Another movie concept where that car would look perfect in: a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world!
