Intriguing Alternate 'Avengers' Action Sequence Animatics

It's always fascinating seeing how things changed and developed during the filmmaking process.
And there's a lot to discover in these Avengers animatics by Federico D'Alessandro.
Like that tiny doodle of the Wasp - which is probably less telling than the hint that J.A.R.V.I.S. may lead to Ultron.

Han Solo in Carbonite Ring & More Geek Bling by Paul Michael

While the Han Solo in Carbonite ring is just a concept - for now -  Paul Michael Design has created
so many unique custom rings for geeky romantics! Bellow are just a few of my faves from the gallery
on the Designers Facebook page. Of course - I'm partial to the Star Wars and Avengers Bling.

 Minimalist Death Star

 Subtle Lightsabers

R2-D2 Inspired

 Captain America

Iron Man

Would You Know This Guy is Lobo If Someone Didn't Tell You?

While this is a very attractive alien dude - there is scarcely a trace of the Main Man left here.
It's a baffling re-design choice that removes everything that made the character unique and
instantly identifiable - seemingly for the sake of fitting him into the often generic visual style of the New 52.

DC also shared 3 other designs they considered.
So it could of been worse...

...with a design that looks like an attempt to appeal to Loki fans...

...or better - with either of these more Khal Drogo-esque barbarian inspired takes.
Which would have been fine...

...I actually kinda like this last one.

Here's the synopsis for the reveal in September's Justice League #23.2: Lobo -
"The Lobo you’ve seen so far in the New 52 is not who you think he is. In this one-shot, you’ll be
introduced to the real Lobo. A ruthless killer, Lobo is on a quest to kill the man who has taken his name."

As Star Wars fiction fan I've got to tell you - that sounds an awful lot like
the old Expanded Universe Tale of Boba Fett and Jodo Kast.
